Volume Wefts (Beaded Rows): Volume Wefts are a very popular method currently, they are often referred to as “Beaded Rows” or “Hand-Tied Extensions”, which is a similar application, but the difference is in the actual hair installed. We offer both hand-tied and machine-tied wefts. More on that in your consultation. This method is ideal for coarse or thick hair, but works well for a variety of different types of hair. It is applied using copper beads as a base. No tape, glue, or heat is used. These wefts are applied by ‘sewing’ or weaving the rows of hair to the beaded anchors. This method should be “moved up” every 4-8 weeks. They can continue to be used without replacing the hair for 9-12 months. Average initial installation takes three-four hours.

K-Tips: Also known as Keratin-Tips, this method is installed using a heating element which safely melts the Keratin Tips onto your own hair. A silicone additive on the K-Tip helps to create a protective coating for your natural hair strands. The extensions are bonded close to the roots of the hair. This is a great method for all hair types because the attachment is very small and with a customized cut, are virtually undetectable. This method is great for someone who loves to put their hair up and go as it provides flexible movement. These extensions cannot be ‘moved up’. These extensions last 4-5 months once applied. Average initial installation takes four hours.

I-Tips: This method is a single strand method, meaning the extensions are applied in a 1:1 ratio extension hair to natural hair. A bead (typically made of copper or aluminum) is weaved onto the natural hair. The I-Tip extension is then inserted into the bead and using a specific tool, the bead is clamped down securing the extension to the natural hair. These extensions can be ‘moved up’. They should be moved up every 6-8 weeks. They can continue to be moved up without replacing the hair for 9-12 months. Average initial installation takes three hours.

Tape-Ins: Tape-in extensions are 1 ½ inch wefts that have medical grade adhesive on the back of them. The natural hair is “sandwiched” between the two wefts, securing and sealing the bond. The initial application is quick and easy and removal and reapplication is fairly simple, although can be time consuming. This is a great method for those with thin hair, as the tapes lay flat against the head and are fairly undetectable. These must be moved up every 6-8 weeks. They can continue to be moved up without replacing the hair for 9-12 months. Initial installation takes 1.5 hours on average.

Clip-Ins: Clip-in extensions are temporary hair that can be applied by simply “clipping” them into the root section of your hair. They can be removed whenever you’d like. We do not recommend them for sleeping or overnight wear. They vary in size from one-inch to a wide weft containing 3-5 clips at once. Clip-in extensions can easily be maintained, but they need to be washed, conditioned, and dried separately from the wearer’s own hair periodically. We often use clip-ins for brides and special occasion styling. Average installation takes minutes.
